To whom it may concern, I reside in Cavanaugh, a development adjacent to the proposed development. I am in opposition to the proposed Compass Pointe zoning application and development at the corner of Victory and S Locust Grove intersection for the development of the 4.69 acre lot consisting of 48 high density townhomes and a private road. I am in opposition for the following reasons: 1. The proposed development will negatively affect the already increasing traffic at the intersection of Locust Grove and Meridian. Contrary to what the application states, 48 townhomes with the only access being onto main arterials within 500 feet of a main intersection, will most certainly have a significant impact on the traffic in this area. 2. The increased traffic will make it extremely dangerous for pedestrians and bicyclists to cross either Victory or Locust Grove. 3. The proposed entrance/exits are too close to the intersection of Locust Grove and Victory and without further improvements to both of those roads a car attempting to turn left into either entrance would back traffic up into the intersection and the proposed roundabout. 4. The schools in south Meridian are already at capacity and sending students to adjacent schools. High density housing will only exacerbate this issue unless improvements are made prior to approval of this project. For these reasons I respectfully request that this application not be approved. I recognize the value in providing a variety of housing options for the residents of Meridian, however, this particular location is not well suited to support such housing. Regards, Cameron Horch 1
