Broadway Avenue#102 Boise ID83702 Meridian, ID 83642 208.287.7900 Fax 208.287.7909 RE: H-2020-0112/Tetherow Crossing Subdivision www.adacounty.id.gov Alan, Department Divisions The City of Meridian has requested feedback regarding a proposed annexation and Building Community Planning preliminary plat for the Tetherow Crossing Subdivision, which will consist of 46 Engineering&Surveying detached single-family homes on 7.58 acres located north of the intersection of Permitting Ustick Road and 121h Drive. Ada County Commissioners Diana Lachiondo,First District Ada County is supportive of the application due to the proximity of the site to Patrick Malloy,Second District existing public services and due to its compatibility with the Future Land Use Map of Kendra Kenyon, Third District the Meridian Comprehensive Plan, as adopted by Ada County, which designates the site as Medium Density Residential, a designation which is intended for single-family residential development at densities of three to eight dwelling units per acre. The layout of the subdivision also complies with many of the goals of the Meridian Comprehensive Plan, as adopted by Ada County. The proposed common areas, which will include a playground, benches and pet area, are compatible with Goal 3.07.02A which encourages usable opens space to be incorporated into residential subdivisions. The road connections proposed to the north, south, east and west are supported by Goal 3.03.03C, which requires street connections between subdivisions at regular intervals to enhance connectivity and improve traffic flow, and the pedestrian pathways which are proposed to the west and northeast are compatible with Goal 3.07.02C, which requires pedestrian access in all new development to link subdivisions together to promote neighborhood connectivity. Thank you for this opportunity to provide feedback. Sincerely, Brent Moore,MCMP,AICP Community&Regional Planner Ada County Development Services
