Subject:Horse Meadows (H-2020-0060)-Black Cat & Pine
Hello Planning and Zoning Committee,
I am a homeowner in the Chesterfield subdivision off of Black Cat and Pine. I am opposed to the the proposed
subdivision, Horse Meadows (H-2020-0060). Black Cat is a busy road and only continues to get busier. The new Compass
Charter school and the railroad crossing with a stop sign have already added to traffic and congestion. There will be I
believe 60 townhomes built just down the street. Black Cat is not set up for that much heavy vehicle traffic, especially at
peak times.
27 homes in that small area would be too many, that area is only zoned for low density. I oppose it being changed to
medium density. Medium density does not reflect the rest of the current surrounding neighborhood structures.
Having the entrance/exit for the proposed subdivision be on Pine Ave would cause congestion. It is already difficult to
turn left off of Pine onto Black Cat, adding an additional neighborhood entrance would only worsen traffic backup. There
are a lot of bus stops at that intersection and along Pine Ave, increased vehicle traffic makes those bus stops less safe.
Please consider at least reducing the number of homes in this proposed subdivision and changing the location of the
entrance/exit.
Thank you,
Laura Miller
