BY THE CITY COUNCIL: BIRD, DONNELL, ROUNTREE, WARDLE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 1, CHAPTER 11, SECTION 4 OF THE
MERIDIAN CITY CODE REGARDING ANNEXATION; AND PROVIDING FOR
A WAIVER OF THE READING RULES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MERIDIAN, IDAHO:
Section 1. That Title 1, Chapter 11 Section 4, of the Meridian City Code is
amended to read as follows:
1-11-4 ANNEXATION; AREA OF ßfPACT
A. Limitations: Annexation by the City shall be limited to those lands lying within the
area of impact and being contiguous or adjacent to the City limits of the City-:-, except
for those properties outside the Meridian area of city impact and being contiguous or
adjacent to the boundary of the City of Meridian where the owner or the owner's
agent has requested annexation in compliance with the procedures set forth in Idaho
Code section 50-222 et seq.
B. Application Of Provisions: Upon annexation, the provisions ofthis Chapter, which is
the agreement between the City and Ada County, shall no longer apply to the annexed
area. (Ord. 545, 11-20-1990)
Section 2. That pursuant to the affirmative vote of one-half (1/2) plus one (1)
of the Members of the full Council, the rule requiring two (2) separate readings by title
and one (1) reading in full be, and the same is hereby, dispensed with, and accordingly,
this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage, approval and publication.
