SEP 2. 0 2005 ~:W'~~'Z~f;~k~ßÎh~;~ Builder's Profile Prior to Michael Arnke's construction career, he spent 2 and 1/2 years in the US Army. Upon graduating from the ih Army Non-Commissioned Officers Academy, He spent 15 months in Vietnam from 1967-1968, assigned to the First Infantry Division and commanding an M-88 Tank Recovery Vehicle. He was honorably discharged in 1968. Michael Amke pursued a career in law enforcement with over 8 years on the San Diego Police Department from 1969-1978. Michael had also earned over 130 college credits between San Diego City College and San Diego State College, majoring in Criminal Justice. In addition to police work, Michael also began his construction career in 1972, building spec homes and remodeling and selling existing homes for profit. In 1978,' Michael resigned from the police department due to injuries sustained while on duty. In 1978, Michael Arnke formed a California construction corporation employing and managing over 21 employees. While self-performing the tasks of concrete, masonry and framing, Michael and his company built a number of landmark projects throughout San Diego County. Michael sold his business in 1985 as the business climate in California began to change dramatically. From 1985 to 1988 Michael provided a consulting service to several Bonding Companies in California, ICW and Tyco. As a consultant, Michael assumed the responsibilities of the contractor and took over the distressed residential subdivision projects, turning them around bringing them to fruition. From 1988-1997, Michael joined the company of Acacia Construction Inc. Duties included field management and project manager and regional manager of construction. Projects included major subdivisions from 50 to 400 houses, multi-family apartment projects from 220 units to 440 units, as well as commercial construction projects. Michael enjoyed his career with Acacia Construction building and managing a variety of projects from Southern California, Austin, Texas and Las Vegas Nevada. , In 2004, Michael was fortunate to have discovered a new frontier while visiting in Boise, Idaho. Reminiscent of California 35 years ago, it was not difficult to recognize opportunity. Michael is currently establishing a new Idaho Construction Corporation just out side the City of Boise and will make the move on or about June 1,2005. The future is here. Michael will bring his 25 years of business acumen, abilities and experience and continue his success in the real estate industry of Southwest Idaho.
