Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to me regarding Horse Meadows. As streets are not owned and maintained by the City, this
question is more appropriate for ACHD than City staff. Nonetheless, I will add this to the public record so that our
Commissioners and elected officials see your comments.

Dear Mr Dodson,
I have a question about public safety and the impact of the proposed Horse Meadows Subdivision RZ, PP H-2020-0060.
The developer presents a narrative that the new subdivision will create an additional 26 PM Peak Hour vehicle trips.

My question to the city planners is, does the additional 26 PM Peak Hour vehicle trips connecting 150' from an
intersection with two significant irregularities -- a clear centerline offset and a deeply setback eastbound limit line on El
Gato -- fall within acceptable safety standards for the City of Meridian?
Two field notes:
An onsite inspection of the irregular setback limit line for eastbound El Gato reveals a blind intersection towards
the south, and we have a new school just a quarter mile down the road.
Chesterfield Sub is boxed in because eastbound Pine does not connect to Ten Mile.
I have included a set of Google Map phots with annotations for further illustrate my question.
Sincerely,
Doug Harrison

PS I want to mention how much I appreciate that the road improvements and widening were done to Franklin (between
Black Cat and Ten Mile) before the increased residential density went in.
