Mr. Mayor and members of Council:
It is with profound disappointment that I write to the members of the council regarding
this topic. After a meeting in which you chose to not move forward with the
development that would gravely affect a quiet established family neighborhood, the
"developers who choose to remain anonymous" have now miraculously brought you to
the point of reconsidering opening Dashwood to through traffic. I spent a great deal of
my retirement to move into a quiet low traffic neighborhood only for you to potentially
open it up to what would be a large amount of traffic. I respectfully request that if you
feel you must capitulate to big money anonymous developers, that you have no
vehicular traffic coming through Alpine Point from this development. Only emergency
access for first responders should be considered on Dashwood, through locked bollards.
You must also realize that if you allow Dashwood to be opened up that you will be the
Mayor and city council that effectively allowed a nice neighborhood to incur damage of
increased traffic flow. You would certainly loose our votes and confidence.
