PLEASE USE CAUTION WHEN OPENING ATTACHMENTS OR LINKS INSIDE THIS EMAIL.\] Ms. Wallace, Thank you or your reply. The Meridian City Council will be making a decision based upon reports and data obtained from the ACHD. There is currently conflicting data regarding Wainwright which has a direct impact on Dashwood Pl and Delano Sub. 1 The email to Sonya Allen from Austin Miller is attached stating Wainwright is a local street. Also attached is the ACHD Final Report from 2019 showing Wainwright as a collector. It cannot be both which is why i am seeking clarification. Please note I am on record as stating I am a City of Meridian Planning and Zoning Commissioner but am reaching out to you as a private citizen and adjoining property owner to Delano Sub. This has been heard by P&Z and will not be coming before me again, however, would like to have the clarification to present to City Council on July 28th's hearing. Thank you for your time and look forward to your response. You should refer to the information provided in the Commission approved ACHD staff report for Delano Subdivision. There can be differences between the City of Meridian and ACHD mapping systems. Thank you for your additional comment’s regarding Delano Subdivision. ACHD has already taken an action on the Delano Subdivision preliminary plat and we are aware that the project is working its way through the City of Meridian. The Meridian City Council will be the ultimate decision making body for the Delano preliminary plat application and I would encourage you to provide your comments regarding the development to the City’s Planning staff. The applicants for Delano Sub are going before the City of Meridian City Council for reconsideration on July 28. ACHD's Final Report of May 30, 2019 has Wainwright Dr. as a Collector. However, an email from Austin Miller to Sonya Allen dated May 20, 2020, states Wainwright Dr is a local street on the Master Map Street Plan. Can you provide clarification as something has changed in the past year since the ACHD Commission approved the preliminary plat on May 22, 2019. The issue at hand is Dashwood Pl becoming a thoroughfare for Delano Sub. Whereas ACHD originally approved Dashwood Pl in 2007 as a court (hence the name of the street name as Dashwood PLACE), and the City of Meridian subsequently did not want to landlocked the southern property and provided an opening for future driveway but with limited access. Now in 2020, a developer wants to open Dashwood Pl. without limited access. If Dashwood Pl would no longer be limited access and Wainwright is indeed a collector, then 330" would be necessary between Dashwood and Rosepoint - hence the reason Center Pointe was to be the thoroughfare, not a de factor via Dashwood. If Wainwright Dr is now a local road, then the final report should be revisited and no longer be presented as a collector road. Also, please note the original plat as presented to ACHD Commissioner has changed. It now has a hard right into the subdivision creating a straight shot from Center Pointe to McMillan. The calming effect of having the entrance road go west for 300' before turning north is now gone. Clarification and reconsideration is warranted before the Delano Sub application moves before the Meridian City Council. I would appreciate any information and assistance you can provide. Sincerely, David and Patricia Pitzer 3 208-999-0880 4
