Hello,
I recently learned of the plans for high-density neighborhood to be built on or near Waltman Lane. Along with this is a
plan to connect my neighborhood, Mallard Landing, to Meridian Road through Waltman. Please don't. The schools are
overcrowded as it is, in addition to the many apartments being built between Linder and Ten Mile off of Franklin. We
live here because Linder is a quiet street. It's a lovely place to be, close to the city, but just far enough out that we don't
have all the noise. No one here wants more traffic coming through our neighborhoods, creating an unsafe environment
for pedestrians, not to mention children walking or on bikes on their way to school. Please let us remain a fun and safe
place for families to live and enjoy.
The City of Meridian is already behind in it's infrastructure, particularly when it comes to our roads. This plan
exacerbates the problem in an area we definitely don't need more traffic. Please focus on the places we actually have
room to grow and do so with the future in mind. Be intentional and considerate of your residents.
