Hi Adrienne,
Thank you for looking into this, I understand this meets the letter of the law. Can we include this
correspondence in the public comments. I feel it’s important for the city council to understand that the adjacent
neighborhood had limited visibility to the development which will help to account for lack of attendance.
Thanks,
Clair

Hello Clair,
Thank you for contacting our office. After legal counsel review of the sign posting affidavit and pictures located in the
Tanner Creek project folder, as well as reviewing the City of Meridian Unified Development Code, it has been
determined the applicant satisfied posting requirements for the project. The code reads as below:
The signs shall be posted on the land being considered along each roadway that is adjacent to the
subject property boundaries. The sign(s) shall be located on the property, outside of the public right
of way. If the sign cannot be placed on the property and still be clearly visible, the sign may be placed
within the right of way if the applicant can obtain the consent of the owner of the right of way. In
circumstances where placing signs per the standards listed herein is not practical the applicant may
request a director's determination to identify an alternative sign placement strategy.
The affidavit of sign posting and pictures of posted signs can be found in the project folder, which you may review by

We appreciate you bringing your concerns to the City’s attention. Please feel free to contact our office should we be
able to assist you further. Have a wonderful afternoon!

Dear City Clerk,
While investigating the Tanner Creek public hearing signs, we noticed the only sings in the Adjacent
subdivision is on Ruddy drive which is in the very back of the subdivision and has limited traffic exposure. We
inquired with some home owners right around the corner and they had not even seen the sign. I do not feel
that there is adequate notification to the affected citizens with the current sign location. I respectfully
request that signs be placed at the entrance of Mallard Landing and Blue Horizons subdivisions and the Public
hearing be delayed in order to give proper notification to the citizens that will be impacted by this
development. Please confirm you have received this message.
Figure 1: The red bubble shows the location of the sign.
Thank you ,
Clair Manning
