Good Afternoon Kelly,
Thank you for providing comments on a potential project next to your subdivision. At this time, the City does
not have a formal application for this specific property. If/when the application is submitted to the City and you
are within 300’ of the project boundary, you will receive notification from the City of the public hearing date
and the property owner will be responsible to place public hearing signs along all street frontages. Public
testimony will be welcomed at that time.
Sincerely,
Bill Parsons, AICP | Planning Supervisor

Subject: Meeting RE: 4111 E Amity Rd Development
To whom it may concern:
While I am not able to attend the June 11 meeting on the 4111 E Amity Rd development, I wanted to express
my views about the proposed development. I don't object to a builder improving the community while making
money, but I do object to them wanting to enact their plans on a community if it could have negative results.
I live in Rockhampton II, not far from the proposed development. I drive in and around the area
frequently. While I am in favor of developing the land, the developers proposal presents several concerns for
me:
My understanding is the development does not match Meridian's vision for the area.
Will significantly increase traffic on a two lane road. While the roundabout at Eagle/Amity seems to
handle traffic well, the nearby intersection of Amity/Cloverdale already has congestion during several
times of the day. I have heard of no plans to improve this intersection.
1
Inadequate pedestrian space between Cloverdale and Eagle.
Lack of adequate turing lanes.
While I don't have kids at the nearby school, I do not know of a plan for where these new families will
send their children for schooling?
Is the developer's wants overriding the good of the community?
If this was a medium density housing development, I would still have similar concerns, but I am very concerned
that the number of residences in the proposed plan will put undue stress on the area.
Thank you for your time and consideration. While I do not have all of the facts, I am confident you will make
the best decision based on the community's needs.
