housing options
Good Afternoon Sunrise,
Thank you for providing comments on a potential project next to your subdivision. At this time, the City does
not have a formal application for this specific property. If/when the application is submitted to the City and you
are within 300’ of the project boundary, you will receive notification from the City of the public hearing date
and the property owner will be responsible to place public hearing signs along all street frontages. Public
testimony will be welcomed at that time.
Sincerely,
Bill Parsons, AICP | Planning Supervisor

Subject: Development/Zoning at Amity and Hillsdale - I support building higher density housing options
Hello,
I wanted to write in support of the development of higher density housing, including the proposed apartments at Amity and
Hillsdale. I am a resident of Rockhampton II and I understand some residents in the surrounding area are advocating
against these apartments. I wish to express my strong support of developing housing that is more affordable and that will
help address the deficit of housing in the Treasure Valley. If a public hearing on this zoning issue will be held, I would be
happy to come testify as an area resident in favor of this project and any development that increases housing supply.
However, I do feel that developers should be paying significant impact taxes and fees and that such funds should go
directly towards impacted schools.
Thank you,
Sunrise Ayers
homeowner in Rockhampton II
