Good Afternoon Thomas,
Thank you for providing comments on a potential project next to your subdivision. At this time, the City does
not have a formal application for this specific property. If/when the application is submitted to the City and you
are within 300’ of the project boundary, you will receive notification from the City of the public hearing date
and the property owner will be responsible to place public hearing signs along all street frontages. Public
testimony will be welcomed at that time.
Sincerely,
Bill Parsons, AICP | Planning Supervisor

Subject: Challenger Development
To meridian city council,
My name is Tom Cook and I am a resident of Hillsdale Creek subdivision. I have recently received notice of the
Challenger Developments preliminary plat plan for the corner of E. Amity and S. Hillsdale Ave.
As a resident of this valley for 47 years I think it is important to show my concern about the safety and
education of our children. We have new neighbors that have recently moved in from out of state and they are
not able to enroll their children at the Hillsdale Elementary due to the number of children. That is telling me
that the people that are making the decisions on the expansion of this valley is not taking in all of the
necessary considerations. Safety is the next item, with the increased traffic in Hillsdale and Century Farms, our
concerns for our children's safety does not seem to be a consideration.
The medium high density housing plan does not meet the needs of this community. There should not be
anything allowed other than R4 development.
Sincerely,
Tom Cook
