At this time, the City does not have a formal application for this specific property. If/when the application is submitted to the City and you are within 300’ of the project boundary, you will receive notification from the City of the public hearing date and the property owner will be responsible to place public hearing signs along all street frontages. Public testimony will be welcomed at that time. Sincerely, Bill Parsons, AICP | Planning Supervisor City of Meridian | Community Development Dept. 33 E. I want to express that my family is strongly opposed to the plan for high density homes at E Amity Rd and S Hillsdale Ave for the following reasons: - There are many homes nearby currently under construction that will already add to the density of this area - There aren’t enough schools nearby to accommodate current residents, adding more housing will compound the problem, especially at Hillsdale elementary - Emergency services may be spread thin - Crime will likely increase 1 - Property values will likely decrease - The YMCA is already overcrowded and adding homes so close to the gym will cause it to be even more crowded - Traffic is already increasing in this area, the infrastructure isn’t ready for any increase in housing nearby - one of the reasons we moved here is because it’s quiet and there isn’t a lot of traffic Thank you for your time and consideration, Lif Lindeman 2
