Good Morning Crystal,
Thank you for providing comments on a potential project next to your subdivision. At this time, the City does not have a
formal application for this specific property. If/when the application is submitted to the City and you are within 300’ of
the project boundary, you will receive notification from the City of the public hearing date and the property owner will
be responsible to place public hearing signs along all street frontages. Public testimony will be welcomed at that time.
Sincerely,
Bill Parsons, AICP | Planning Supervisor

Subject: 4111 E Amity Rd
Dear City Planning,
My name is Crystal Altieri and I am a resident of the Hillsdale Creek community. I have
recently received notice of Challenger Development's preliminary plat plan for the corner
of E Amity Rd and S. Hillsdale Rd. I am writing to let you know that I am concerned
about the ADDITIONAL over crowding in our schools (my daughter already has to sit on
the floor to eat her lunch because there is no place to sit, there are already children who
1
already live in this neighborhood who are bused to a different school because Hillsdale
has NO room for them) amount of traffic and people that this is going to bring to the
community as well as LOSS of property value. There are already three significantly good
size neighborhoods in the vicinity (Hillsdale Creek, Century Farm, & Rock Hampton), we
don't need any more. The reason my family and I chose Hillsdale Creek was because of
the good schools and that it was located slightly out of town so we were away from the
craziness but still close enough. This development will significantly lower our property
values that each and every one living here has worked so hard for. We have chosen to
live in a custom built neighborhood for a reason and do not need our property values
brought down by building of apartments/townhomes . There are plenty of apartment
buildings going up throughout Meridian, do we really need another one? If the
preliminary plan isn't revised to address these concerns this will impact our children's
education, crime and traffic, and so much more. I hope that the plan ultimately
accepted by the city will address these concerns to better create an evolving, livable,
vibrant, and connected neighborhood in the line with #MyMeridianVision.
Sincerely,
Crystal Altieri
Hillsdale Creek Resident
