From what can be discerned from the information available – there are multiple concerns and considerations including: 1. The developers Traffic Impact Study which sites a significant increase in traffic volumes – especially on Waltman Lane – but sites that only minimal road improvements are necessary???? I would briefly ask that if our council members have not had the opportunity to visit the proposed building site to take a quick trip down Waltman Lane and picture it with the additional 85 homes, 44 townhomes and 280 apartments associated with the Tanner Creek Subdivision with road improvements planned only adjacent to the building site?? 2. Ensure proper access by Fire and Police Services which was a valid concern two years ago. 3. West Ada School District overcrowding in the area as a result of the numerous multi-family and apartment complexes already built in the immediate area. Where are we going to put that many more children? 4. Insure adequate sidewalks / bike lanes for the many young residence of such a development. 5. Reserving this prime, highly visible property for what it was originally planned and intended for which is to attract commercial development that brings more jobs to Meridian. Consideration of such a change in the existing development agreement should at the very least include ACHD or the developer (Cory Barton Homes) to provide adequate and safe access to the proposed site prior to any pending improvements on Waltman Lane as well as your consideration of the other points listed above. Thank you. Sincerely, Bill Kissinger 420 Waltman Lane Meridian ID 83642 Office - 208.887.9696 | Mobile - 208.608.6630 BillK@atsinw.com 1 2
