Mayor Simison and Honorable members of the City Council:
I would like to state for the record that neither I, Anna Stowe, or my spouse, are in favor of the Delano
Project if it
indeed proceeds with plans to open Dashwood Street, or any other road into our subdivision, Alpine
Pointe.
To this point there have been negotiations about reducing the number of units, having bollards, and
diverting traffic toward Jasmine Lane or Centerpointe Way. However, each time this subdivision
comes to
be approved in front of the City Council, it appears to lack an effort in compromise.
The Delano project will change the way of life for those of us in Alpine Pointe. We will have people
cutting through our quiet residential neighborhood in and effort to avoid Eagle Road, and lights. This
in and of itself
will jeopardize the safety of children, our elderly population, and all other residents. It will also create
an environment where our neighborhood becomes an extension of the dangerous traffic off of Eagle
Road. At the time Dashwood was designed it may have been on a plan to open it. The idea was prior
to the many duplexes, apartments, restaurants, and heavy traffic businesses being approved for build
that are to the South of Dashwood, and Alpine Pointe. There is a shopping parking lot, 400 plus
duplexes or multi family units being built, which the traffic impact is unknown at this point. The way
Delano is showing it's development, with a connection to Dashwood, it will open traffic up through our
neighborhood from the duplexes, the shopping center, and restaurants. The project will also allow
assess to travel Dashwood for people seeking to avoid Eagle Road. Commuters will be able to turn
North onto Ustick, travel to Centerpointe, turn onto Dashwood, and follow neighborhood roads out to
McMillan Road. Allowing this would be unacceptable to many, if not all, of us who live in the
neighborhood.
I have written numerous times, as well as attended the meetings voicing my opinion that the Delano
project should not be allowed to move forward on the property adjacent to Alpine Pointe. Please
remember the meeting in November of 2019, at City Hall, Mayor Tammy De Weerd and City Council
memebers determined the same.
I am pleading with the City Council and newly elected Mayor Simison to please remember part of the
attraction to Meridian is it's nice quiet neighborhoods such as Alpine Pointe. Other neighborhoods off
of Eagle Road have not been impacted with a direct connection as Alpine Pointe would. Please do

not allow Delano Project to develop with a connection through our neighborhood by way of Dashwood
or any other neighborhood Street.
Also, having the meeting by zoom and online does not begin to show the numbers of people living in
our neighborhood who do not want the opening of Dashwood. Also, an online meeting does not show
the numbers of people in solidairity in opposition to the opening of Dashwood from the Delano
project. Not all of us have assess to zoom.
