Good Afternoon Dennis,
Yes, the city can refund a portion of the fee. If we noticed the project for a public hearing, we would deduct that
amount from the $1369.00 application fee. The minimum we can refund would be $1186.00. I will have Joe do some
digging with the Clerk’s office and we will let you know how we plan to proceed.
Joe – Please check with the clerk’s office to see if we noticed this property per City standards. Thanks.

Joseph~
I have been informed that the principal has decided to relocate her business and does not want to
pursue this application.
I contacted Bill Parsons in this regard and inquired if a portion of the fee paid could be refunded
inasmuch as there has been not hearing. I have not heard back from him.
Thank you for your assistance prior to this terminations.

Hi Dennis,
I was just forwarded this email chain from Fire but it also refers to some building concerns for the Hammer Daycare CUP.
Please review and if you have questions, please reach out to building or Fire.
Thank you,

Thank you Tom!
Also, If they are changing the occupancy classification to an E then a Tenant Improvement is required. The design
professional (architect) will be required to provide what Tom and the Building Code reviewer will need to approve. This
could be an I-4 instead of an E depending on the ages of children and means of egress requirements.
Thanks,

More information required. Fire alarm requirements are based on the total occupant load for the facility. OL
also depends on the age of the children - different OL factors used for children less than 2.5 yrs, verses
children older than 2.5 years. Would need to see OL calculation for this facility from a design professional in
order to require a fire alarm system.

If this is now an “E” occupancy – I assume it will go to Rick for approval/review? I’m sure it will need more than smoke
and CO detectors?
Shouldn’t it have an alarm system?
