If we noticed the project for a public hearing, we would deduct that amount from the $1369.00 application fee. The minimum we can refund would be $1186.00. Also, If they are changing the occupancy classification to an E then a Tenant Improvement is required. The design professional (architect) will be required to provide what Tom and the Building Code reviewer will need to approve. This could be an I-4 instead of an E depending on the ages of children and means of egress requirements. Fire alarm requirements are based on the total occupant load for the facility. OL also depends on the age of the children - different OL factors used for children less than 2.5 yrs, verses children older than 2.5 years. Would need to see OL calculation for this facility from a design professional in order to require a fire alarm system.
