To Honorable Mayor Robert Simison, to the City of Meridian Planning and Zoning
Commission, and to the City of Meridian City Council:
Many neighbors in Alpine Pointe made huge household fiscal decisions based on
what streets were named, how streets appeared, what streets were signed to be
continued in the future, and so forth. We have been rather surprised by a grassy
landscaped strip by Wainwright and Brooksburg that was never signed to be a
future street nor revealed as a Commercial Collector on their deed
documentation in their title paperwork.
This is how the future CENTREPOINT WAY Collector appears on the Ada County
Assessor. This could be viewed by a prospective buyer as a common lot, or
buffer, without the designation of a FUTURE STREET designation.

Moreover, in regard to the flagrant ambiguity of the appearance of N Dashwood
PI, the naming of N Dashwood PI, and the lack of signage and intent of N
Dashwood PI in Alpine Pointe.
When one buys a home in a court, cul-de-sac or "Place" the inference is the
roadway is one that has limited use, and is believed to be closed to through
traffic.
Without such wording as Rd, Way, Avenue, Blvd, or Street, "Place" is closed to
through traffic, or a court, or a cul-de-sac, which is what N DASHWOOD PL should
always be: a closed cul-de-sac in perpetuity.

In conclusion, most every homebuyer makes huge financial decisions based on
information available. We all bought thinking the Brickyard pad was Commercial
and that changed. We bought thinking the future Commercial Collector of
Centrepoint Way was a grassy landscaped buffer in absence of signs. N
Dashwood PI's name suggests it is a COURT or CUL-DE-SAC, and residents bought
in "good faith" based on the name and based on the fact there was never a sign
that said this cul-de-sac would be connected in the future.
Thank you for your time and consideration regarding the absence of appropriate
signage and the naming of streets in Alpine Pointe.
Sincerely,
Residents of Alpine Pointe
