Dear City Clerk,
Please put this in the Delano File under the Alpine Pointe HOA
Thank you!

It is my humble opinion that Meridian officials are not adhering to the recommendations of the WHO and CDC.
Meridian is intent on breaking the rules as just handed down by our US President and other officials. Mr.
Mayor, if anyone gets sick or worse, dies, because of attendance at the P&Z meeting tomorrow, well that’s on
you and your staff for not using common sense. If this meeting goes on as scheduled, there is a very good
chance that more than 100 Alpine Pointe residents will be in attendance. How do you plan to handle the CDC
requirement for social distancing?
Please do not try to say “it’s the law” that the meeting must be held. Really, our world has made adjustments to
many things so much more important and possibly “against law” to do the right thing for our citizens.
Notification has been conveyed to Governor Little and multiple news outlets of your irresponsible decision and
possibly your decision to continue the meeting with a gathering or more than 10 people would violate the
current law as stipulated by the CDC.
Please do the right thing and postpone the meeting until further notice. My apologies for the intense tone of this
email, however, we are dealing with something like never before. Thank you for your consideration.
