Hello Chris
I am resoectfully requesting that the March 29th Planning & Zoning Hearing be postponed. I am a
resident of Alpine Pointe and the Delano Project is on the Mar 19th P&Z Hearing agenda. Many
residents are empty-nesters or retired and with the current flu epidemic I am concerned about the
health of all concerned, public and city staff. Many who would be attending either won't due to the
increased current risks or can't due to health issues that place them in a high risk condition.
With all of the current closures, including schools and private businesses I sincerely hope the City of
Meridian will follow this example by postponing the public meetings & hearings.
It has been said that everyone can watch on line, however that doesn't allow for public comment and
our subdivision has historically always been a large presence in the hearings. Yes we've sent letters
& our concerns have not changed. But without our physical presence at the hearing its very easy for
someone to "say" or "assume" that we are no longer concerned. Though there have been changes
made, our 2 major concerns are still a huge issue.
Please share this request with the City Mayor's Office and Planning and Zoning. Also please share
with whoever else at the City needs to be aware of the request and who can cancel the meeting for
the safety of all concerned.
