The following are the principal findings and recommendations of the study: 1. The proposed development is projected to generate an average daily traffic (Al)T) of 3,106 vehicles per day (vpd), of which the peak hour traffic (PHY) is 342 vehicles per hour (vph). 2. As a result of the sit~ build out ~taitic on thc vicimty roadways is expected to increase as follows: traffic on Locust Grove Road north and south of McMfllan may increase by 435 and 839 Vpd respectively; L, affic on Locust Grove Road north and sou~t~ Ustick may increase by 2270 and 715 vpd respectively; 1raffle on McMillan west .and~asJ~f Locust Grove Road may increase by 187 and 218 vpd respectively; traffic on UsticJrRoal~.wcst and cast of Locust Cn'ovc Road may increase by 933 and 622 vpd respectively./ 3. Boise, ID, 83702 Installation of Observation Wells, Locust Grove Parcel Dear Jon: American Geotechnics, Inc., is pleased to present this report documenting the installation of observation wells at the Locust Grove Parcel. On November 30 and December 1, we excavated four test pits to observe soil stratigraphy at the site. Groundwater observation wells were installed in each test pit to allow measurement of seasonal groundwater levels. The observation wells were constructed as piezometers with 5 feet of pre-fabricated screen placed at the bottom of each standpipe. At the time of excavation, no groundwater was observed. Test pit locations are shown on Figure 1, and Figures 2 through 5 are test pit logs with observation well details, A photograph showing typical materials encountered during the investigation is also included in this report. In addition to excavating the test pits, we took the liberty of making additional measurements to aid in sizing pavements, drain fields, and foundations. We will retain this data in our files for your future use. AMERICAN JonWardle T E C H N I C S Page 2 We appreciate your confidence in our firm and we look forward to working with you again soon.
