Re: Alexandria Subdivision.
Sonya
I have reviewed the staff report with the owner and he agrees with all the conditions of approval as written with the
exceptions of the following items:
Site Specific Conditions
18. Perimeter fencing (6-ft. tall solid material) is required.
During the preliminary plat approval before the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council, it has always been
proposed to place a 4-rail vinyl fence along the southerly boundary. This was done to accommodate the southerly
property owners request for this specific type of fence. During the City Council meeting, there were two neighbors that
requested a vinyl panel fence be installed at the intersection of the roads along the southerly boundary to hinder the
intrusion of headlights from cars. This has also been noted on the fencing plan submitted to your office.
We request that this be modified to read similar to something as follows:
Perimeter fencing to be installed as shown on the fencing plan and as shown on the preliminary plat.
General Requirements
7. (Street lights)
We request that the following be added to this condition:
or other street light approved by the City of Meridian.
The developer is currently looking at using a more attractive, maybe more expensive street light within this subdivision.
The street lights he is currently looking at have been used in other subdivisions in Meridian. The addition of this wording
would allow a little more flexibility to the developer and maintain the involvement of the City of Meridian Staff in the

selection of an appropriate street light.
