Meridian and long-term resident of Idaho. ►A policy of demonstrating the highest respect for its citizenry, City personnel and community leaders. ►A policy of being available for community & business input. ►A policy of looking towards prevention in the City’s risk management analysis. ►A policy of being invested in its educational system’s future. ►A policy of establish Meridian as the Metro Hub (I 84/Highway 55) of Treasure Valley. ►A policy of establishing growth/economic opportunities and strengthening its middle class community. ►A policy of expanding baby boomer amenities and services within its communities. ►A policy of improving the quality and depth of Meridian’s career opportunities for its youth. ►A policy of catapulting MDC’s strategic business development vision/activities with a direction towards higher wage employment options, communities amenities and long-term Meridian Core development goals. ►Working with the Mayor’s Office in the constant pursuit of exceptional personnel that can take the City to new performance/vision/planning levels, fits the City’s culture, and that is willing to share professional intellectual capital with co-workers/community. ►Taking charge of Meridian’s future with seeking a policy of federalism & strategic diversification of its economic ecology. ►Leading the community through a policy of engaging a network of resources that utilizes all of Meridian’s local talent (political, educational, business, philanthropy, etc.) ►Fiscal decision making that controls municipal expansion/containment but ensures quality community expansion and increased employment options for its citizenry ►Support a municipal collaboration policy with other state and local entities that impacts Meridian’s expenditures containment, strategic long-term growth and quality of life ►Municipal decisions making based on high quality data/information, community involvement, and long-term self-interest of the Meridian community ►Requiring Meridian City Council Members to acquire municipal management continuing education credits during their terms in office. ►Expand Meridian City Council’s transparency Civic Involvement: Member of Meridian Lions President/Founder of Idaho Chukar Foundation Inc., an Idaho wildlife IRS 501c3 conservancy organization Past Idaho AARP Executive Council Member Supporter of Political Term Limits Supporter of Idaho Humane Society Volunteer to Junior League of Boise Entrepreneurial Business Instructor/Mentor, BSU’s Small Business Development Center Career: Founder/Managing Principal of Idaho Consulting International for the past 18 years, An emerging market and strategic capital formation practice firm.
