Dear Mayor de Weerd and Members of the Meridian City Council:
My name is Lee Centers. I am a local Farmer, Land Developer, long time builder and Meridian resident. I
am writing this letter regarding a section of my property and its current comprehensive plan
designation. The section I am referring to is North of Harris, and West of Kentucky in S. Meridian. In
order to create a more diversified housing structure for this area, I believe this area would be better
designated as a medium density housing area. This parcel is contiguous with other R4 Low density to the
North and R40 High density to the South and will act as great transition between existing Low Density
and future High density developments.
As our city continues to grow, it is my goal to meet the needs of its citizens. I believe that current market
conditions support the need for more housing diversity, especially in S. Meridian. I believe changing this
designation to medium density on the comp plan will support the type of growth needed for Meridian.
