NOTICE OF HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to the Ordinances of the City of Meridian
and the Laws of the State of Idaho, that the City Council of the City of Meridian will hold
a public hearing at the Meridian City Hall, 33 East Idaho Street, Meridian, Idaho, at the
hour of 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2005, for the purpose of reviewing and
approving increased fees for solid waste collections and new proposed fees for
asbestos waste collection by Sanitary Services Company.
Due to the increased disposal fees at the Hidden Hollow Landfill, new rate
structures have been proposed as follows:
Residential Collection +5.9%
Commercial Can Collection +9.4%
Commercial Container Collection +9.4%
Commercial Compactor Collection +15%-20%
Roll-Off Services +4.2%-31.3%
Asbestos Waste Haul to Landfill $132.00/Haul+Disposal+Franchise Fees (new)
Asbestos Waste Haul to IWS $210.00/Haul+Disposal+Franchise Fees (new)
Additional documentation and complete fee schedule regarding the proposed fee
increases and new fees are on file in the City Clerk's Office at Meridian City Hall, 33
East Idaho Avenue, Meridian, Idaho and said file is available for review during regular
business hours.
Any and all interested persons shall be heard at said public hearing and the
public is welcome and invited to submit testimony.
