RE: Request for a Six Month Time Extension of Castlecreek Subdivision
Dear Council Members,
On behalf of Northwest Ventures LLC, please accept this request for a six month Time
Extension for the Castlecreek Subdivision (H 2017-0150). Castlecreek Subdivision has 19
buildable lots and 5 common area lots on 6.58 acres and is zoned R-8.
BACKGROUND
The City Council approved the final plat of Castlecreek Subdivision on January 23, 2018 with
condition number two which states:
"The applicant has until August 12, 2018 to obtain City Engineer's signature on the final
plat or apply for a time extension in accord with UDC 11-6B-7."
At the time Northwest Ventures LLC thought they believe the City would give them more than
seven and half months to complete the subdivision.
OBJECTIVE
Therefore, we would appreciate the City Council's approval of a six month time extension. If
approval for the time extension is not given, we would be required to come back with the same
plat, the same approvals, and the same signatures.
This would take an extended period of time, money and resources. Doing so, would be somewhat
redundant and would get us back to the same position we are currently facing. We see a greater
value to the community and to the city of Meridian, by proceeding from our current point and
completing this subdivision.
We plan and our goal is to record this in December 2019. Therefore we request your approval of
this application.

COMMITMENT OF PROPERTY POSTING
Per Unified Development Code (UDC) 11 -5A -5D, the applicant for all applications requiring a
public hearing (except for a UDC text amendment, a Comprehensive Plan text amendment
and/or vacations) shall post the subject property not less than ten (10) days prior to the hearing.
The applicant shall post a copy of the public hearing notice of the application(s) on the property
under consideration.
The applicant shall submit proof of property posting in the form of a notarized statement and a
photograph of the posting to the City no later than seven (7) days prior to the public hearing
attesting to where and when the sign(s) were posted. Unless such Certificate is received by the
required date, the hearing will be continued.
The sign(s) shall be removed no later than three (3) days after the end of the public hearing for
which the sign(s) had been posted.
