I live on Bentley Drive. My household fully supports being rezoned to commercial. We have lived in our home for over 40 years and my family before that. We have raised our family here. We are ready to retire in the new future and ready to downsize. It makes sense to bring a road through from Eagle to Locust Grove in this area. Our street is not in City limits but Ada County. We do not get to vote on anything in Meridian. We are still on wells and septic systems. It is almost impossible to have any kind of function in our back yards for the homes along the freeway because of the noise level. I believe it is time for change and growth. This is one way to benefit the City of Meridian. I know many elderly people are worried. We are too, however, are hoping by the money we get from our property we can downsize in a more suitable area. It is true, I believe, that there will be failure of wells and septic systems in this area. I believe it has happened to at least four homes I have heard of already. I believe two went through the process for fixes while others may not. That jeopardizes our area and the City. I, myself, do not like change, however, this makes sense. We are so close to the City without being in limits. Everywhere else around us is. It's time to move forward for the future of Meridian. I do not wish my name to be public. Many people in this area do not agree, while others really don't care. Thank you again for taking the time to read my thoughts. Good luck! Sent from Mail for Windows 10
