NOTICE OF HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIV-
EN pursuant to the Ordi-
nances of the City of Meridian
and the Laws of the State of
Idaho that the City Council of
the City of Meridian will hold
a public hearing at the Meridi-
an City Hall, 33 East Broad-
way Avenue, Meridian, Idaho,
at the hour of 6:00 p.m. on
Tuesday, November 19, 2019
for the purpose of reviewing
and considering the following
application:
Meridian Planning Depart-
ment for a Comprehensive
Plan to replace the existing
Comprehensive Plan (the
Plan) for the City with a new
long-range planning docu-
ment. The application in-
cludes but is not limited to the
following: 1) Approval of new
text, both background and
policies; 2) Adoption of a new
Future Land Use Map of the
City including Area of City Im-
pact boundary changes; and
3) Accepting new goals, ob-
jectives and action items of
the Plan for the New Com-
prehensive Plan (H-2019-
0101), located in the City of
Meridian.
Copies of the above appli-
cation is available for review
upon request. Any interested
persons wishing to testify are
welcome to do so at the pub-
lic hearing listed on this notifi-
cation. Oral testimony may be
limited to 3 minutes per per-
son. Written testimony is rec-
ommended and may be sub-
mitted prior to the hearing
date either by mail or in per-
son to Meridian City Clerk, 33
E. Broadway, Suite 104,
Meridian, Idaho 83642, by
email to
cityclerk@meridiancity.org,
by voicemail at 208-288-
5607, or by texting the word
"Comment" to 31996. All tes-
timony and materials re-
ceived or presented become
property of the City of Meridi-
an and public records subject
to the provisions of the Idaho
Public Records Act. Applica-
tions are subject to change
throughout the public hearing
process and it is incumbent
on interested persons to
monitor such changes by fol-
lowing the process in person,
online, or by contacting City
staff.
