Hello, I am Pat Rennison. I have owned my home at 990 Mustang Street for 40 years. I would like
to thank Bob Sonnichsen from Senator Crapo's office, Mitra from the county planning committee, and
Cameron and Brian from the Meridian planning committee for being available to help us.
Our neighborhood consists of professional people from all walks of life—teachers, military, business
owners, skilled craftsmen, etc. I taught K-12 grades for 29 years. My PERSI income is $2,000 per month.
Military do not get social security and some others get $700 or less per month. We have four families
of three generations who have bought back into the neighborhood to be close to grandparents. Most
of us have sent our children to Idaho Universities to be productive professionals with no student loans.
Mr. Bernt suggested money talks. As you can see, we have contributed to the community for 50
years
but do not have the capital or income that the developers have. If you choose to support the
developers, many of us will literally be out on the street. We are what every family in Meridian
would love to have and what has given Meridian the positive reputation it has. Please consider the
people involved in this situation, not the land or dollars to be made.
