NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to the Ordinances of the City of Meridian
and the Laws of the State of Idaho that the Planning and Zoning Commission of the
City of Meridian will hold a public hearing at the Meridian City Hall, 33 East Broadway
Avenue, Meridian, Idaho, at the special hour of 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 17,
2019 for the purpose of reviewing and considering the applications of:
Meridian Planning Department for a Comprehensive Plan Update to replace
the existing Comprehensive Plan (the Plan) for the City with a new long-range planning
document. The application includes but is not limited to the following: 1) Approval of
new text, both background and policies; 2) Adoption of a new Future Land Use Map of
the City including Area of City Impact boundary changes; and 3) Accepting new goals,
objectives and action items of the Plan for the New Comprehensive Plan (H-2019-
0101).
Copies of the above applications are available for review at
http://bit.ly/MeridianCompPlan. Any interested persons wishing to testify are welcome to
do so at the public hearing listed on this notification. Oral testimony may be limited to 3
minutes per person. Written testimony may be submitted prior to the hearing date either
by mail or in person to Meridian City Clerk, 33 E. Broadway Suite 104, Meridian, Idaho
83642, by email to cityclerk@meridiancity.org, by voicemail at 208-288-5607, or by
texting the word “Comment” to 31996. All testimony and materials received or presented
become property of the City of Meridian and public records subject to the provisions of
the Idaho Public Records Act. Applications are subject to change throughout the public
hearing process and it is incumbent on interested persons to monitor such changes by
following the process in person, online, or by contacting City staff.
