Please add to the record. I have a few of these but haven't been able to find out what the project is. You can
wait until I am back. I know everybody is overwhelmed.

Subject: Linder & Amity Development By Toll Brothers
Dear Toll Brothers, Meridian City Council, and Planning & Zoning,
2
I attended the 8/29/19 meeting regarding the proposed Toll Brothers residential development
at Linder and Amity in Meridian, Idaho, and writing to you to voice my concerns as one of
residents that will be impacted by this development. The current proposed plan does not
reflect, enhance or maintain the integrity of our existing rural neighborhood and the
surrounding area in addition to proposed roads that would go through my private property.
In regards to the proposed road running north and south of the west side of the development
as well as a west bound road, they would both run though my private property as well as my
neighbors. We use all of our property on a daily basis for our livestock to graze as well as for our
kids to be able to enjoy being outdoors. Many of us raise livestock and crops and we are
concerned numerous small lots will disrupt and interfere with our agricultural practices. (see
picture below).
3
In regards to the lot size of the development, the proposed transition and lot ratios (357
homes) to the existing adjoining neighborhoods are not appropriate or complementary to the
surrounding rural area nor does it respect the identity of any of the existing neighborhoods .
Existing homes (2 subdivisions and multiple individual estate homes) that this development is
next to have lots sizes ranging from 5 acres up to 10 acres each with large custom built estate
homes (proposed development lots are approx. 0.2 acres). The proposed plan does not respect,
nor is it sensitive to, our property rights of peaceful enjoyment of our properties as well as
wildlife that regularly reside in the area (owls, hawks and smaller birds). Lastly the proposed
plan calls for excessive density, which will result in the loss of our existing view of the open
spaces and neighborhood identity, and negatively affect the market values of our properties.
4
The City of Meridian sets a higher bar for annexations and we believe this application fails to
meet that bar for the above reasons. We therefore respectfully request that your application be
substantially revised to address our concerns such as 1 acre lots with luxury higher end homes
5
and revising the proposed roads to not go through and divide existing private property. Thank
you for listening to my concerns and taking these suggestions into consideration to uphold the
rural space that the City of Meridian has remaining so the entire community and City can be
proud to have.
Respectfully,
