Jay Coles Meridian City Clerk’s Office 33 East Idaho Avenue Meridian, Idaho 83642 VIA EMAIL Development Application H-2019-0050 FP Project Name BLAKESLEE COMMONS NO 2 Project Location South of East Ustick Road approximately 0.40 miles west of the intersection of SH-55 and East Ustick Road, west of SH-55 milepost 38.90 Project Description Construct a subdivision consisting of 28 building lots and 2 common lots on 3.94 acres of land in the R-4 zoning district Applicant Bungalows Meridian, LLC The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) reviewed the referenced final plat application and has the following comments: 1. This project does not abut the State highway system. 2. The City is reminded that the SH-55 (N. Eagle Road) corridor is already congested. This project will increase the number of vehicle trips in the corridor. As the City continues to add additional trips to the corridor through development, the congestion will worsen until the roadway system ultimately is overloaded and fails. ITD has no current funding assigned to mitigate traffic congestion in SH-55 (N. Eagle Road) corridor in this area. 3. Idaho Code 40-1910 does not allow advertising within the right-of-way of any State highway. 4. The Idaho Administrative Procedures Act (IDAPA) 39.03.60 governs advertising along the State highway system.
