Meridian City Council:
This letter is in response to your Notice of Hearing on Application M1.05.001 to
construct a maintenance equipment storage & repair shop for the Cherry Lane Golf
Course. I object to this proposal for the following reasons:
We built our home at 4208 W. Dawson Dr. because of the unrestricted
view of the mountains, golf course &, lake,. plus green grass, water fowl
and, most important, openness. This 120 x 45 metal building in an R4
Zoning would completely block but everything I noW have and my
neighbors.
Another reason to oppose this building is monetary. If that building is
approved, I will lose automatically at least $100,000.00 on a resale of this
residence - IF - and a Q!g if - 1 could find a buyer. Most people would not
buy a home if their only front view as a 120 x 45 blank wall of a
commercial building.
I was a building contractor in the Los Angeles vicinity for 30 years. In the 30 years I
never had a resident in a R4 zone with á front vieW of a metal commercial building.
This is almost ludicrous.
