Broadway Ave, Ste 102 Meridian, lD 83642 RE: Southern Highlands Off-Site Utility Plan Review Dear Denny, This letter accompanies our resubmittal for Southem Highlands Off-Site Utility plans. Attached are the revised plans for your approval. We received your plan review comments dated May 9, 2014. Please find our responses to your comments below: Generel Plan Design 7. Water note #2 and sewer note #3 have been called out on the water plan/profile sheets at the locations noted. Sewer main crossings (future and current) are shown in the profile view. 8. The limits of the gravel drive have been shown in the plan view and a typical section is included on Sheet 4 (Grading and Drainage Plan). General Weter Design 14. Water main has been revised to show 5, minimum cover. 20. Valves have been added and called out as shown on the redlined plan set. General Sewer Design 30. Pipe lengths have been corrected. lnverts and alignment have been modified as necessary to r€flect the sewer changes through proposed Whitebark SuMivision. 36. Angle through manhole on Sheet 5 has been labeled. 48. Service line inverts have been added to the plans. Invert elevations were calculated to provide 5' depth at the back ofsidewalk. Grevity lrrigetion 63. Downstream users will not & affected by the removal/abandonment ofthe irrigation line in this project. Redlines (Not addressed ebove) I . Manholes installed as shown with the eccentric cone rotated towards the downstream invert will not have rims conflicting with future curb and gutter. 2. All manholes are less than l8' from rim to lowest invert, therefore 60" diameter manholes are not required. We rcspectively request that the City of Meridian approve the plans so we can commence construction. please contact us should you have any questions or comments. II U;,*-A+La^--^- n G. Orchard Street Boise, Idaho 83706 Re: Project Approval - Phase 2 Southern Highland Subdivision Offsite Utilities Per the provisions in Idaho Code $ 39-1 18(2Xd), the City of Meridian has retained the services of CENTRA Consulting, Inc. as its Qualified Licensed Professional Engineer (QLPE), to veriflz that the plans and specifications proposed for the above-referenced project comply with the IDEQ Facility and Design Standards (IDAPA 58.01.16 and 58.01.08) and the applicable Meridian standards, and to approve the project for construction. By virtue of their attached letter, they have reviewed and approved the above referenced plans and specifications as complying with the Facility and Design Standards, and Engineering Standards of Care as it relates to the reviewed elements. The above referenced project complies with the City of Meridian's current Wastewater Facility Plan, and Sewer Master Plan, and our system has adequate capacity to accept sewage wastes for treatment. These determinations have been made by use of computer models developed for our Sewer Master Plan. This project is also within the City's urban service planning boundary. Our Domestic Water distribution system can provide water service and the minimum required fire flow ( 1000 GPM) and the minimum required residual pressure of 20 PSI. These determinations have been made by use of computer models developed for our Water Master Plan. The City of Meridian will own and operate the wastewater collection and domestic water distribution systems within this project upon final inspection and acknowledgement by formal acceptance letter.
