Broadway Ave. Meridian, Idaho 83642 Re: Sky Mesa Commons Park — Final Plat Narrative Meridian Planning and Zoning, Sky Mesa commons park is a neighborhood park designed to provide the residents of Sky Mesa subdivision with a close and convenient recreational amenity. It is located along the main subdivision road of Taconic Drive, at the intersection of Montague Way. By utilizing this park, residents will have access to a safe and secure infinity edge pool, pool house with restrooms and shaded picnic area, a tot lot with swing set, a basketball court, an open field for soccer and other recreational activities, walkways throughout the park, and vehicular parking for ten (including one ADA accessible stall). Grades and ramps will meet ADA accessible standards. Sky Mesa Commons Park has been designed in conformance with the approved preliminary plat and meets all requirements or conditions thereof. it is also designed according to the requirements and provisions of the Unified Development Code of the City of Meridian, Idaho, as well as to acceptable engineering, architectural, and surveying practices and local standards. Broadway Ave. Meridian, Idaho 83642 Re: Sky Mesa Commons Park — Letter of Explanation Meridian Planning and Zoning, The Sky Mesa Commons Park is a 1.87 acre, one -lot, neighborhood park site the details of which are explained in the attached project narrative. Since this is a one lot subdivision, the typical multi lot subdivision final plat checklist is not completely applicable particularly because there are no streets, only a small parking lot. My office has addressed all checklist items as completely as possible and provided a full set of construction documents (contained on the attached disk), in accordance with the City of Meridian Public Works Department Design Standards. The onsite drainage facilities, storm drainage calculations, details, specifications, and separation to groundwater requirements have also been designed according to City of Meridian Standards. We have not provided street design or cross sections of streets since there are not any on the project. The grading and drainage design and details address separation to groundwater and graphically depict how the design will meet the separation requirements. If a part is broken or worn, replace immediately Installation NOTES: Step 1. Dig a footing hole Approx. 30" deep by 18" Dia. shown in Plan Views on page 1. See Figures 1 & 2, for footing details. Step 2. Attach Swivel Assemblies to Swing Beam(s) at locations shown in Figure 3 with hardware shown in Figure 4. Step 3. Connect Swing Legs in pairs with "T" Castings. Use (4)'/zxl YT Bolts & Washers as shown in Figure 5. DO NOT INSTALL Button Hd. Bolts & Set Screws at this time. Stand Leg assemblies in footing holes. Install Swing Beams between adjacent pairs of Legs. Plumb Legs and level Swing Beam(s). Fully tighten (4) 1/2x1-1/2" Button Hd. Bolts. Install (8) 3/8x1-1/4" Button Hd. Bolts & Washers & fully tighten as shown in Figure 5. Install (16) 3/8x5/8" Set Screws in Top & Bottom Castings as shown in Figure 5. Step 4. Pour concrete in Post footing holes. Allow 72 hours for concrete to cure. Step 5. Attach Swing Chains to Swivels using shackles. See Figure 4. Chain length should be adjusted (trimmed if necessary) so that underside of Belt is at least 12" (Infant seat 24") above protective ground cover. See Figure 1. Attach seat to chain (see Figure 6). Step 6. Place at least 12" of Protective Ground Cover under Swing(s). Specif01 ications SWING BEAM: Shall be 2.375" OD 10 gage galvanized steel. SWING LEG: Shall be 2.375" OD 11 gage galvanized steel. CROSS CASTINGS: Shall be powder coated cast aluminum. SWING HANGER: Shall be 2-3/8" OD galvanized stamped steel with lock tight nuts. SWING CHAIN: Shall be 5 / O galvanized steel with optional poly vinyl coating. BELT SEAT: Shall be vandal resistant rubber seat with steal insert.
