This business would be an in-home infant daycare in Barbara’s residence of 3515 W Torano Drive, Bridgetower West subdivision. We would like to notify the Planning and Zoning Commission that we are opposed to this in-home business, which is directly behind us. The reasons that we are opposed to this business is as follows: 1. Increased traffic in and out of the subdivision. This would increase traffic on the road of N Vicenza Way and the loop roads of N Upriver Ave, W Torano Dr, N Tirso Ave and W Lesina St. The road of W Viso St will also have increased traffic. 2. Increase possibility of accidents in the subdivision due to the lack of stop signs at the intersections of W Torana Dr – N Upriver Ave and W Torano Dr – N Tirso Ave. Other oppositions to this in-home business include: 1. The noise that will be caused by a daycare, whether or not it is restricted to infants only. If the in-home business gets established with infants, perhaps in the future they will also expand to include older children, thus increasing the noise of the neighborhood in general. This is especially relevant if children are allowed to play in the back yard, since their back yard is directly behind our back yard on Lesina St. 2. In addition, we are concerned that house values may suffer because of a daycare business located in the neighborhood. As occupants and owners of property adjacent to proposed daycare, we are opposed to this in-home business. Dennis Hardman and Donna Schafer 3514 W Lesina St. Meridian, Id
