I hope as our representatives on the city council you take the time to read and listen to our concerns with Linder Village. I have been a resident in Paramount close to 12 years now. Paramount is an excellent neighborhood and a great place to raise my family. Paramount is unique in that it has a high school and elementary school within the neighborhood and a middle school across Meridian road which means a lot of children and teenagers ride and walk to school. Please keep our community safe. This should be the priority when making decisions regarding Linder Village. I am not opposed to Linder Village. I do believe there should be few changes to improve the designs and protect our neighborhood. First, as I stated previously, please consider the safety of the Paramount residents. Please do not allow direct access to Linder Village from one of our Paramount streets. Do everything to mitigate any concerns with extra traffic flowing through our quiet streets. Protect the kids playing in the streets, families on walks, and kids and teenagers going to and from school. I would implore you to look at not allowing access during phase 1 but in later stages. Also, please require the developer to use effective traffic -calming measures, not just a jog in the road. I live close to Bergman, and I believe direct access in Phase 1 will be detrimental to the resident on our street. We have kids playing outside every day. Second, please do not make final approval unless there is a signed and completed deal with Brighton for the property that is used for the collector road. I have learned over many years not to trust DMG. They have been dishonest. They were dishonest in front of the city council last year. Lastly, please consider the quality of life of Paramount residents. Like I stated earlier, Paramount is a family friendly neighborhood and a great place to live. Winco should want to be a kind neighbor like other business surrounding homes in our area. There is no reason that Winco cannot limit their delivery hours from 11 pm to 6 am. Of course, they will tell you otherwise, but if you as a city council take a firm stand, they have the opportunity to comply. Costco has been a great example of working with the surrounding neighbors not only in the building design but in limiting nighttime deliveries. Why should we expect less from an Idaho based company? What I have learned over too many years of dealing with DMG is that they only make changes after recommendations from the city council. Than changes they stated were impossible to make are done. Please require DMG to make a great Linder Village that will add to our Northwest Meridian. Please consider Paramount residents when making your decisions. It can only be built once, please help them do it the best way and continue to make Meridian a great place to raise a family. Sincerely, Chrys Eastman 1192 W. Bacall ST.
