Subject: Linder Village
I wrote a previous letter to you about Linder Village on Sunday, but I wanted to include this follow
up. Monday morning about 745 am I was on Bergman attempting to turn right onto Cayuse Creek and
there was a line of cars that was backed up from the high school attempting to turn left into the
school. This traffic has become a daily occurrence and it repeats itself in the afternoon when the cars are
leaving the high school going through our neighborhood exiting out to Meridian or Chinden. With the
added apartments that are being built this will only add to the congestion of traffic in our
neighborhood. Allowing these apartments without any improvements to McMillan or Meridian is not very
good planning. Also adding the traffic of these high school students to a high school that is already over
crowded and the added traffic through a neighborhood is also not very good planning. NOW you want to
open up Bergman to a commercial development so that traffic can also use this neighborhood as a short
cut, not very good planning. Again I am not against the WinCo development, but not with Bergman
connected to the development and limiting the hours of their deliveries.
I hope you can see the added traffic we already have from a high school in this neighborhood and I
would ask you to not allow Bergman to be connected to this new development.
Thankyou

Subject: Linder Village
I am writing you as a resident of Paramount subdivision in regards to my concerns about Linder
Village. We have only lived in paramount for 2 1/2 years now and we very much like the quietness and
walkways in our neighborhoods.
I am concerned about Bergman Ave being punched through to the Linder Village. Why do we need the
traffic from the Village coming through our neighborhood? If the street goes through to the new homes
next to Linder Village I don't have a problem with that, but to have the cars from the Village also taking a
short cut through our neighborhood streets in not right. They will have access via a new road to Linder and
Fox Run and of course Chinden Ave so why do you feel the need to add Bergman to the access streets to
the village.
We currently have a steady stream of cars cutting through our neighborhood going to the high school,
every morning and then leaving every afternoon. The students don't want to use Linder to Chinden to exit
or enter in the morning so they cut through our neighborhood. You have approved the new 300 +
apartments east of our neighborhood at McMillan and Meridain which is only going to add to the traffic on
these 2 lane roads but that is another subject that I wont go into now. When these apartments are
completed where do you think these high school kids from these apartments are going to go to
school? NO they are not going to use McMillan to Linder, they will be cutting through our
neighborhood. This only adds to the traffic and congestion in the morning and afternoon, and you want
to add to this again by opening up Bergman. I would hope you take in the consideration the safety of our
residents, you know sooner or later some child is going to be hit by a speeding car going to school or from
your new village. Why not expand the walking paths from this neighborhood to the new village via
Bergman or Arlis, which is friendlier and much less traffic and of course quieter. Explain to me the
reasoning for having the Village traffic exit or enter through our neighborhood? You should be keeping
that traffic onto Linder or Chinden.
The other major concern form me is the trucks coming in during the night. What is wrong with no
deliveries from 12am to 6 am? That seems reasonable and fair as a compromise and concession for our
neighborhood.
I am not against the village but if these 2 major complaints of mine are not addressed and considered I
will be very much be against it.
Thank you for you time
