The Bergman street inside Paramount that ACHD wants to punch through into Linder Village is RIGHT next to my house. We do not need the Linder Village shoppers to use our already narrow subdivision street as a cut through speed way! Bergman is not a Linder, Ustick, or McMillian. It was never meant to take on this much traffic. Ever. The stub streets in Paramount were not supposed to be extended until the RESIDENTIAL portion of Linder Village was constructed, but Meridian City and ACHD want to punch Bergman through during the first phase of construction. That one small change will affect the entire neighborhood because people coming from the south and east will most likely use Paramount as a shortcut. This traffic will be any time of day/night considering Winco will operate 24/7. We are extremely concerned about how the uptick in traffic will impact the children's safety as they walk/bike to and from schools within and around Paramount. The ACHD report states, "Phase 1 of this development is estimated to generate 19,274 vehicle trips per day; 1,807 vehicle trips per hour in the PM peak hour. (DAt built -out (Phase 1 & 2) this development is estimated to generate 28,967 vehicle trips per day; 2,826 vehicle trips in the PM peak hour, based on the traffic impact study."(5 Please listen to the neighbors that this actually will personally affect. We are NOT against development and growth but we are against increasing traffic without any calming measures-- Le speed bumps, curves, round abouts, etc anything that would slow down speed and convenience of flying through our Bergman/Paramount neighborhood. Again, as a 20 year citizen of Meridian and parents of 9 and 5 yr old kids --- please help us keep our neighborhood safe.
