US 20/26 – Linder Road to Meridian Road (~1.0 miles + ~0.33 miles transition) 2.1. Expand US 20/26 from Linder Road to Meridian Road (~1.0 miles) to five vehicle lanes (two through lanes in each direction with a center two -way left-turn lane), shoulder/bicycle lanes, a stormwater treatment/clear zone (south side only), and a detached, multi-use pathway (south side only). 2.2. The south side edge of pavement will be set in the ultimate location desired by ITD, but no further than 64-feet south of the roadway centerline per the US 20/26 Corridor Study (except for widening needed at intersections). 2.3. Beginning east of Meridian Road, transition (taper) over ~0.33 miles from the widened five-lane section described above to the existing three-lane section. 3. US 20/26 & Site Access A 3.1. Construct a right-in (turn lane)/right-out approach on US 20/26 approximately 650 feet west of Bergman Way. 4. US 20/26 & Bergman Way/Site Access B (Option 1)1 4.1. Westbound US 20/26: Construct one additional left-turn only lane to provide dual left- turn only lanes. 4.2. Eastbound US 20/26: Construct one right-turn only lane. 4.3. Northbound Bergman Way (new approach): Construct two left -turn only lanes, one through lane, and one right-turn only lane. 4.4. Southbound Bergman Way: Construct a separate left-turn only lane. 4.5. Construct a new traffic signal to control the intersection. 5. US 20/26 & Fox Run Way 5.1. Eastbound US 20/26: Expand/replace the existing right-turn only lane to meet ITD standards. 5.2. Implement signal modifications to accommodate the additional through lanes on US 20/26. 6. US 20/26 & Meridian Road 6.1. Eastbound US 20/26: Construct one right-turn only lane. 1 See Option 2 Under “Conditional Improvements.” Use Option 2 if New Collector Road is connected to Fox Run Way. 6.2. Northbound Meridian Road: Construct one right-turn only lane and one additional left- turn only lane to provide dual northbound left-turn only lanes. 6.3. Implement signal modifications to accommodate the additional through lanes on US 20/26 and the additional turn lanes on the south and west legs. 7. Linder Road/Site Access C 7.1. Construct a right-in/right-out access unsignalized approach on the east side of Linder Road approximately 400 feet south of US 20/26. 7.2. Northbound Linder Road: Construct one right-turn only lane. 8. Linder Road/Site Access D 8.1. Construct a full access, unsignalized approach on the east side of Linder Road aligned with the existing commercial approach on the west side of Linder Road approximately 630 feet south of US 20/26 (at the existing curb return location). 8.2. Northbound Linder Road: Construct one northbound right-turn only lane 8.3. Southbound Linder Road: Use the existing two-way left-turn lane to accommodate southbound left-turns. 8.4. Westbound Site Access D: Construct one westbound left-turn only lane and one westbound through+right-turn lane. 9. New Collector Road – Linder Road to Linder Village East Property Line (~0.55 miles) 9.1. Construct a new commercial collector roadway to ACHD standards beginning at the Linder Road/Site Access E intersection and extending approximately 0.55 miles through the Linder Village site to the east property line.2 10. Linder Road/New Collector Road (Site Access E) 10.1. Construct a full access, unsignalized approach on the east side of Linder Road aligned with the existing fire station approach approximately 1,240 feet south of US 20/26. 10.2. Northbound Linder Road: Construct one northbound right-turn only lane 10.3. Southbound Linder Road: Use the existing two-way left-turn lane to accommodate southbound left-turns. 10.4. Westbound Site Access E: Construct one westbound left-turn only lane and one westbound through+right-turn lane. 10.5. Implement signal modifications to the existing emergency signal for the fire station to accommodate the New Collector Road. STAR Phase 1 Conditional Improvements (Optional): 11. US 20/26 & Bergman Way/Site Access B (Option 2)3: Conditional on New Collector Road connection to Fox Run Way 11.1. Construct a right-in/right-out/left-in access unsignalized intersection. 11.2. Westbound US 20/26: Construct one left-turn only lane. 11.3.
