Here's what they had to say: Request for Mayor and Council: Name: Traci Fuller _replyto: tracijanae24@yahoo.com Street Address: 5708 N Bergman Ave City: Meridian State: ID Zip Code: 83646 Subject: Winco at Linder and Chinden Message: We just moved her recently into the Paramount neighborhood, and have loved it so far. We have four small children and love that we live on a quiet street where they can play and not worry about constant traffic down our street. I understand the area of Chinden and Linder needs to be developed, but I also would ask that this development be aware of and take the Paramount neighborhood into consideration while making building and developing plans. 1. My number one thing I ask is that you make the Bergman and Arliss streets dead ends. There is no reason Winco, or any of the other businesses or apartments developed, need to cut through those streets. There will be plenty of exits and entrances off of Linder and Chinden. If you could make Arliss and Bergman dead ends, and block off the neighborhood, it would help keep our streets safe and our neighborhood more safe as well. I have small children, and would really appreciate those streets not being through streets. As I drove around the city, other Winco's and Walmart's and Costco's do not cut through neighborhoods. Please consider this, as it would help the neighborhood immensely. 2. Ask Winco to, at a minimum, restrict delivery hours (if not its operating hours). 3. Consider a different road design to discourage using Paramount as a cut -through to the commercial area. Residents will still have access from the neighborhood through Bountiful Commons and Fox Run. At the very least, they should consider traffic calming measures at access points. Children's safety should not be put at risk for the convenience of drivers. 4. Ensure all ITD and ACHD suggested road improvements which would accommodate Phase 1 are completed PRIOR to the opening of any stores. 5. Require the developer to break up the Mid -Anchor stores.
