Hello Greg,
Thank you for taking time to share your thoughts and comments with your local elected leaders. The Mayor does
remember you and appreciates hearing what is on your mind and heart. The City Council members also appreciate
you sharing your thoughts as well.
The City Council did approve this application on September 18 th but it hasn’t been finalized, therefore, the City
Council members are not able to comment outside their regular Council meetings. We take public feedback seriously
and want you to know that they have received your email and have read your comments which have been provided
to our City Clerk and will be included in the public record. At this point the Findings to approve the Council’s action
are scheduled to be on the agenda of October 16 th for consideration and we are not aware of any vote to reconsider
at this time. The meeting begins at 6 pm should you wish to attend and City Council may approve the findings as
written or request additional language. We do not know what direction the Council may choose or if there will be
any conversation for you to witness at this meeting.
If interested you can watch the public hearing on this topic which was held on Sept. 18 th by clicking on this Link
If you have questions about the process, feel free to reach out to our Planning staff. Their number is 208-884-5533.
My best,
Morgan Andrus

Joe / Tammy,

I don't know if you would recall, but I worked with Gary Price for many years at Campbell's Siding &
Windows before he passed away suddenly. I'm emailing you two directly, because I had interaction with
you during that time and recall both of you having reputations for making good decisions and putting
in the effort to do the right things.
My concern is with the Timber Creek Recycling facility. We are looking at purchasing a home in close
proximity and have pulled back until this issue is settled. Having reviewed the details of the
development agreement for this facility, we are extremely concerned about the impact it will have on
property values and the quality of life in that area. Before making a final decision, I would ask that you and
your colleagues please consider how you would vote, if you yourselves lived in that area. Due to the
direct impact the operation and potential expansion would have on current and future residents of both
Meridian and Kuna, it seems obvious that this location isn't suitable. Especially since the facility
will ultimately be forced to relocate as surrounding properties develop and/or lawsuits succeed against
them.
If I were in your shoes, I couldn't imagine being in favor of approval when the reconsideration vote takes
place. Please let me know the date and time when this vote is scheduled, so I can be in attendance with
the majority of other community residents who are in apposition to this being approved. We're hopeful
that your group's decision will allow us to move forward with the purchase of our new home.
Sincerely,
Greg Hatch
