Subject:Owyhee high school proposal
Dear Meridian City Council:
I am writing this email as a concerned resident of Meridian with a child who is planning on attending the new
Owyhee high school. Part of the reason we purchased our house in Meridian last May was due to the addition of the
new high school. Research has shown that the current high schools in Meridian and Eagle are over capacity and the
new school is needed. The taxpayers agreed and approved the initiative earlier this year. The new Owyhee high
school is well located given the projected future growth in Meridian.
Please approve this project. It would be extremely disappointing, frustrating, a waste of time and money to start
over. I haven’t seen a good reason for this project to be denied. I implore you to find a compromise that would allow
this project to be approved and maintain the current timeline for opening.
