Subject: Owyhee High School
To Whom it may concern:
My husband and I have 4 grandchildren in the West Ada School District. Two of
those children are in the new Owyhee High School (OHS) boundaries. I am very
concerned about the recent decision to deny the West Ada School District's
application to annex the OHS site into the city of Meridian and grant a
conditional use permit to build the new high school. The West Ada School
District is growing rapidly and putting off building this High School will be
detrimental to our students. The time it will take to find new land, purchase
and build the school could take years. The City of Meridian has been
promoting the growth of Meridian and needs to think hard about the decision to
deny the permit to build OHS. We as patrons passed a bond to build this High
School to help relieve the over crowding in our High Schools. Please consider
what is best for the students in WASD and allow the construction of OHS.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this.
