Subject: Owyhee High School
Dear City Council,
First I want to say that my youngest daughter is a Senior at MHS this year, so this new school will not affect my
family.
Having said that, I worked at an elementary school in West Ada for 10 years, and I absolutely hate to think of the
overcrowded
High Schools. The city continues to approve new home sites, which puts West Ada in a very precarious situation.
They can’t
turn students away, nobody wants overcrowded high schools, so what is the solution? Whatever “beef” Planning
and Zoning has
with West Ada is going to affect the students.
I heard that they don’t like the new location. McDermott and Ustick is only 3 miles west of RMHS. There are multiple
new
Subdivisions on Ten Mile and Black Cat, so it’s a logical location.
Please reconsider the Planning and Zoning recommendation!!!!!
