Meridian City Council,
I am writing to express my appreciation for your efforts to get a handle on the growth and sprawl of
Meridian. However, I also want to show my support of the acceptance of the new land proposed for the
building of the new Owyhee High School. As a parent of children in the West Ada School District, I know
first hand the challenges that the overcrowding caused by the rapid growth has already created. Curbing
growth should not start with denying the building of a high school as it is already needed before it is built. I
understand that the land being proposed for the building is farther out of the city, but it does fit in with
growth patterns around Meridian and will help alleviate overcrowding and congestion in many areas.
