Subject: Support the West Ada School Proposal
To the Meridian City Council Members:
Due to a family trip, I am unable to attend the City Council Meeting next week, but this issue is important
enough that I need my voice to be heard.
The construction of the proposed Owyhee High School for the West Ada School District is vital to the
growth and development of not only our school district, but also our city.
As a parent representative, I was invited to participate on the committee for the selection of the site, so I am
well-aware of the time, effort, and energy invested by the West Ada School District administration, as well
as the citizen volunteers. Input from the public was solicited and taken into account. The decision was
thoroughly researched and carefully considered. The proposed location at Ustick and McDermott is
definitively the most strategically-sound location.
Without this new high school, the city will face dire circumstances in our schools. Many classrooms are
already crowded, and are in desperate need of alleviation, which is what this project would provide.
Please consider carefully the decision you make. I would encourage you to approve the location of the new
Owyhee High School at Ustick and McDermott for the good of the families in our city.
Sincerely,
Lisa Morgan
