Subject: Denial of the Owyhee High School
I am sending an email in response to the email that went out about meridian planning and zoning denial on this new
high school, Owyhee H.S. I live, work and have children in the west ada district. I can’t believe that this project has
not even been started yet. I see huge subdivisions and apartment complexes going up daily. Myself and lots of other
parents are very concerned about the state of our schools. So much overcrowding already and no new schools on
the horizon of the high school kids. How do we expect the future to be successful for our kids if they have huge class
sizes, have to sit on the floor because there are not enough desks and cannot get into the classes they need to
graduate because they are full. We needed to get started on this school last year. How do we expect our kids to be
able to thrive and have a good education when we are in the position we are in. There has been so much growth in
this area and we are not keeping up with it between the schools, the roads etc. Please get on this school. By the time
it is done being built that area it’s self with be inundated with new housing and will already have a huge group of
kids that need a school.
