To whom it may concern,
I wanted to address my concerns about potential issues with Owyhee High School. We just moved back to Idaho
after 20 years (Grew up in Boise School District). As we were looking for new homes, most folks said to avoid the
Eagle and Meridian areas due to overcrowding of schools in those areas. Then the news came out about Owyhee
being built and that was a major decision as we have 3 kids in elementary.
Avoiding the expansion is simply not right for community, the state, and most importantly…the students. Very
simple, the more overcrowded the school, the less education that each student gets. Not a great formula for
success and one that would make us highly consider moving to another district or taking a private route for schools.
As the metropolitan area continues to grow, it’s only fair that schools continue to do the same. Please expand with
this HS, Eagle HS and Rocky Mountain are already getting bad raps, let’s not make it worse.
Thank you for your understanding,
